FunFirst Athlete Training Template

What makes these training templates different from other youth programs?

Our templates prioritize fun and engagement over intensity. Each session is designed like a game rather than a workout, using creative drills and challenges that naturally develop strength, skill, and confidence. While our expertise comes from baseball, the fundamental movement patterns and enjoyment-focused approach work for any sport. The goal isn’t to exhaust young athletes—it’s to leave them excited for the next session.

What if my child seems bored or unmotivated during training?

That’s actually valuable feedback! Our approach recognizes that forced training kills passion. If a child isn’t engaged, we encourage modifying the activities, shortening the session, or even taking a break. Remember, we’re building a foundation of positive memories around training. A fun 15-minute session beats a miserable 30-minute one every time. The templates include variations and modifications specifically for days when motivation is low—because real development happens when kids want to be there.

How long will each workout last?

Each training session is designed to last 30 minutes, 3 to 4 days per week. This duration keeps young athletes engaged without overwhelming them, allowing plenty of time for fun while building strength, skill, and confidence.

Can the child train on their own?

Yes, the templates are designed so children can follow them independently. However, we strongly encourage parents or guardians to train alongside their child. This creates a fun bonding experience and positive memories around training that will last a lifetime—exactly the foundation we want to build for long-term love of sport.
